ASPA brings together the practitioner and academic communities to advance the practice and teaching of public administration through innovative in-person and online programming, leading and highly respected scholarship, more than 50 local chapters and 30 subject matter sections.

The International City/County Management Association (ICMA) was founded with a commitment to the preservation of the values and integrity of representative local government and local democracy and a dedication to the promotion of efficient and effective management of public services.

The Maryland Association of Counties (MACo) is the non-profit, non-partisan voice of all 24 Maryland counties promoting effective, efficient government through advocacy, education, and collaboration. The Association’s membership consists of county elected officials and representatives from Maryland’s 23 counties and Baltimore City.

A voluntary, nonprofit, nonpartisan association controlled and maintained by city and town governments, MML engages and empowers all Maryland municipal elected officials and staff by ensuring that they have access to the advocacy, education and information they need to provide the highest level of service to the residents of Maryland’s cities and towns.

Incorporated in 1991, Maryland Nonprofits is an association serving members that represent all nonprofit sectors, including human services, health, educational, cultural, environmental, religious, and other charitable organizations and foundations, as well as individuals, businesses, governments, and entities in the process of obtaining 501(c)3 status. 

Established in 1967, the Academy responds to requests for assistance from Congress; federal agencies; and state, local, and international government entities on issues of importance. As a Congressionally chartered non-partisan 501(c)3 nonprofit, they also provide thought leadership that advances the field of public administration through the work of research staff and nearly 1,000 elected Fellows.

The National Association of Counties (NACo) represents the interests of America’s counties, serving as a powerful voice in federal policymaking and a vital part of our nation’s intergovernmental system. NACo brings together leaders from across the country to shape national policies, share best practices and strengthen counties for a stronger America.

NASPAA is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) membership association with over 300 institutional member schools at U.S. and non-U.S. universities that award degrees in public administration, public policy, public affairs, nonprofit and related fields. NASPAA is the recognized global accreditor of master's degree programs in these fields.

NATaT’s purpose today, is to champion fair-share federal funding decisions and to promote legislative and regulatory policies designed to strengthen grassroots local government. Since 1976, NATaT’s staff and members have strived to educate lawmakers and other federal officials about the unique nature of small community government operations as well as the need for policies that meet the special needs of suburban and non-metro communities.
